Lamb rogan cheese sauce is my go-to homemade sauce recipe.
It’s a creamy and flavorful sauce that can be made with all kinds of ingredients.
It can be used to make your own goat cheese, but I also make it with lamb and goat meat.
It is perfect to dip some bacon or ham, to make an awesome pork chop or as a side dish.
This recipe is super easy and requires very little prep.
Just follow these simple steps.
Ingredients for Lamb Rogan Cheese Sauce: 1 cup water 1/2 cup goat cheese 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/8 cup honey 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 garlic clove, minced 1 large head of garlic, minced 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion 1 tablespoon kosher salt 1/3 cup fresh cracked black pepper 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano 1/16 teaspoon ground black mustard 1/6 teaspoon cayenne pepper 3 tablespoons grated fresh cheddar cheese Instructions Place the water, goat cheese and brown sugar in a large pot and bring to a boil.
Add the honey, olive oil, garlic and onion and cook until softened.
Add in the red and the black pepper and cook for a minute or two.
Add salt and pepper and bring back to a low simmer.
Stir in the goat meat and cook over medium-low heat for a few minutes.
Season with the cayennes and the oreganos.
Cover and let the cheese melt for 30 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning.
Taste again and season again.
Notes If you prefer, you can add some chopped onions and cheese to your sauce.
You can also serve this with a few slices of bacon and some bread.
This sauce can also be made using the ground beef in your recipe.
