The Top 10 Best Golf Stories (1) – Golf: The Story of Jack Nicklaus: The story of Jack, the legendary golfer and pro-am player, has a lot to do with golf itself.
The story was written by the legendary and prolific author and golfer, Jack Nicklas.
Jack Nicklaus was born in 1932 in the small town of Paulding, Maine, where he was the youngest of three children.
Nicklaus is remembered for his amazing skills and for being the first golfer to win the Masters in 1965, which led to his being awarded the $100,000 prize in 1965.
Nicklas’ career as a pro-american was short-lived, however, as he was forced to retire at the age of 41 due to injuries sustained during a car accident.
Nicklaus also played in the Olympics, the World Amateur and the World Junior Golf Championships, among many other events.
He also competed in numerous amateur tournaments and was named to the National Golf Hall of Fame in 2009.
