A man in the UK is raising cash for lambeers to be sold in Australia, after a family of two died in a car crash.
The family of three, including their mother and two daughters, died in the crash on June 26, 2016, while driving from Stirling to Sydney.
Australian authorities said the family’s vehicle hit a lamppost and the front end of a car struck a tree before coming to rest on the road.
After the crash, they were flown to hospital and died a few days later.
Their father was arrested and charged with murder.
His wife and daughter have been released from custody, and their mother was also arrested.
In June, the Australian government announced that it would be providing $1 million for the family to help pay for their funeral.
“Our hearts are broken,” said Mr O’Donnell.
“It’s just heartbreaking, they have been a part of our lives for 10 years.”
It’s a horrible thing for us to have to do this.
I’m very fortunate that they are able to go back to where they were living and have the opportunity to have a family and a future.
“Mr O’Dell said the group would be making a donation to help cover the cost of the funeral and to help the family raise the funds for the funeral.
